Grip Guide
Welcome to our Grip Guide! If you’re unsure which product is right for you, you’ve come to the right place. Choosing the right grip is key, and factors like bat type, temperature, and overall feel all play a role in finding the perfect match. We include a short description followed by a quick guide for you to see where each product excels. Without further ado, we'll start with our staple...
1. The Stick

The Stick has been our signature baseball bat grip stick since 2013. While we’re proud of its evolution, we also honor its predecessors—like Manny Mota and Tiger Stick—that paved the way for tear-away paper tube grips.
We designed The Stick to stand out. Made with all-natural ingredients and a durable wax base, it holds up even in high heat. Featuring a smoky pine scent, it’s available in Pine Tar Brown and Clear Yellow. Performs best in cool to hot temperatures.
Bat Type: Wood
Application Area: Handle
Tack Level: High
2. Pine Pop

Next, we have the Pine Pop — our push-up style baseball bat grip stick. Inspired by classic push-pops you'd find in the candy aisle, we created a convenient, easy-to-use grip stick in 2015. While other brands now use similar designs, the push-up bat grip stick originated here.
The Pine Pop is designed for versatility, applying easily to both the taper and handle of the bat. Made with genuine pine tar, it delivers superior performance while looking and smelling great. A favorite among MLB clubs, it was added to the MLB On-Field Authentic Collection last summer.
The Pine Pop works seamlessly alongside bat tapes like Lizard Skins and performs best in cold to warm temperatures.
Bat Type: Wood & Composite
Application Area: Taper and Handle
Tack Level: Med-High
3. Grip Dip

There’s nothing like the classic look and feel of a bat marinated in pine tar. Grip Dip takes that tried-and-true approach and supercharges it. Infused with rosin and other premium ingredients, it comes tacky straight out of the tin for instant grip.
Need it a little stickier? Simply tap it with one of our rosin bags to achieve the perfect tack. Grip Dip works anywhere you need a little extra grip while giving any surface it goes on, that old school look. Ideal for use in cold to warm temperatures.
Bat Type: Wood & Composite
Application Area: Taper and Handle
Tack Level: Medium
4. Tar Bar

Last but not least, the classic Tar Bar is a throwback to old-school baseball grips. Packaged like vintage plug tobacco from the 1950s, it brings a nostalgic look to the dugout.
Its formula strikes the perfect balance between The Stick and the Pine Pop, offering the best of both worlds. Performs best in cool to warm temperatures.
Bat Type: Wood
Application Area: Handle
Tack Level: High
